We joined as the team at id was rethinking the game, and we wanted them to know that we "got" what the game was all about so that we could help them handle multiplayer work. The concept team (Michael Pedro, AJ Trahan) did some amazing blue sky work initially to try and nail a more brutal feel. The environment and character artists were building assets as well. I packaged and edited and did all the fantastic work together in the milestone video here to try and cement the deal. Once we settled into multiplayer maps and modes, most of the feedback was to stay on style and support good pathing and sightlines in the maps.
